Sivenathi Mabuya (born April 26, 1993) well known as Sive Mabuya is a South African actress. She came to limelight for her role as Angela-Jane Elison (AJ) on the SABC3 soap opera High Rollers. She also became known for her role as Xolile Langa in the e.TV series, Scandal.

Early Life

Sive Mabuya was born on April 26, 1993 in Cape Town and was raised in East London alongside her 3 siblings. She is multilingual; she can speak fluently English, Xhosa and Zulu.

Career

Sivenathi developed passion for acting in East London while involving in drama at school and church before she later moved to Johannesburg to become a professional actress.

She came to prominence in February 2015 after being one of the five winners of the MAQamovie competition for amateur actors as sponsored by a washing brand. This had gave her opportunity to feature in the film Skorokoro as directed by Darrell Roodt and a cameo role in Shona Ferguson’s supernatural drama series Igazi.

She made her silver screen debut in December 2015 where she starred in the M-Net original film, The Ring alongside the likes of Kenneth Nkosi, Mac Leshomo, Sana Mchuni, Cedric Fourie and Ntando Mncube. In 2016, she starred in the film, The Lucky Specials alongside Richard Lukunku, Blondie Makhene, Oros Mampofu, Fulu Mughovani and so on. Also in 2016, she became a cast in the SABC3 dark comedy-series Sober Companion.

Mabuya made her first starring role in television on September 5, 2016 on the SABC3 soapie High Rollers as AJ and in 2017, she made a guest starring role as Xolile on the e-tv soapie, Scandal.
