Early Life
Shallipopi was born Crown Uzama on April 12, 2000, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He obtained a degree in Computer Science from Auchi Polytechnic in 2023.
Career
Shallipopi began his career with dropping numerous freestyles on various social media platforms, most especially on the video sharing platform TikTok.
He made it known in an interview with Brotish media personality Madame Joyce that his stage name was inspired by the 1994 Chinese Kung fu comedy film Shaolin Popey.
He came to the limelight with the song “Elon Musk” which enjoyed massive airplay on various digital platforms. He followed up with the remix featuring Fireboy DML and Zlatan.
He came through with the release of the single “Ex-convict” on July 7, 2023 and his EP “Planet Pluto” few days later.
He launched his own record label on Octoner 17, 2023 after signing to Dvpper Music Distribution with his music acts Zerry DL and Tega Boi.
