Early Life
Peterson Okopi was born on August 8, 1997 in Lagos, Nigeria to parents Mr and Mrs Adikwu. He is from Benue State and grew up in the Nigerian Airforce Base in Ikeja, Lagos State, where his father served as an Airforce personel.
He attended Nigerian Airforce primary and secondary school for his primary and secondary education. He attended Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) whete he obtained an Ordinary National Diploma in English. He is also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication at the National Open University.
Career
Peterson Okopi started doing music at the age of 7, and began ministering as a soloist in church choir.
He is signed to TWC Records, a record label based in Lagos, Nigeria.
He came through with his first single “Amazing God” in 2018, and followed up with his second and third single “Baba” and “Up to Something” in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
He released another single titled “OGA EME” in 2021 and also released his debut album “Osoba” in May 2021.
He has ministered on several churches like Redeem Christian Church of God and CommonWealth of Zion Asembly (COZA). He has also shared stages with the likes of Nathaniel Bassey, Judikay, Victoria Orenze, Dunsi Oyekan, Efe Nathan and many others.
