Born Pau Cubarsi Paredes on January 22, 2007 in Estanyol, Spain.
Career
Pau Cubarsi began his career at the youth level with Girona in 2014 before moving to Barcelona youth academy in 2018. He became the third youngest Barcelona player to debut in the UEFA Youth League, behind Lamine Yamal and Ilaix Moriba , when he started in a 1-1 draw with Viktoria Pizen.
He trained with the first team for the first time in April 2023 after being called up by manager Xavi. He signed his first professional contract with the club on July 8. He was also part of Barcelona’s pre-season squad for the 2023-24 season.
He eventually made the first team debut against Unionista de Salamanca in the Copa del Rey, where hevcame on as a substitute, on January 19, 2024. He made his first in La Liga against Real Betis, a day before his 17th birthday.
Cubarsi represented Spain at the under-15, under-16 and under-17 levels.
