Early Life
Jandor was born Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran on November 25, 1977, in Mushin area of Lagos State. His parents are Alhaji Adediran and Late Mrs Ruth Oluwafunmilayo. He is the 5th born in a family of 8 children.
He had a very good basic education and also furthered his studies for tertiary education. He attended The Polytechnic Ibadan; Modul University, Vienna; the Howard University School of Business, Washington DC, USA; and Oxford University, Oxford, United Kingdom.
Career
Jandor began as a journalist where he practised for more than 15 years. He delved into politics and joined the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He became the convener of the Lagos4Lagos movement under APC. He deflected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and became their gubernatorial candidate of the 2023 Lagos gubernatorial election with his running mate, Funke Akindele, who is also and actress and movie producer.
Apart from being a politician, Jandor is also an entrepreneur, technocrat and philanthropist.
He is a member of professional bodies such as; Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUT), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria, Adevertising Practioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
As a successful entrepreneur, he is the Chairman and Group CEO of Core Media Group, a conglomerate which comprises of companies like CoreTVNews, a 24hr digital terrestrial television station; he is chairman Datanet Project Services; The Floral Consult; and chairman Jandor Foundation.
