Early Life

Mayim Bialik was born on December 12, 1975 in San Diego, California, United States to parents; Barry and Beverly Bialik. Her family were Jewish immigrants who lived in The Bronx, New York City.

She attended North Hollywood High School in California and also went to the University of California, Los Angeles. She also obtained a B.S degree in neuroscience, with minors in Hebrew and Jewish studies, from UCLA in 2000.

She took a break from her studies in 2005 to focus on acting until she returned back to school to obtain her PhD degree in neuroscience from UCLA in 2007.

Career

Bialik started her career in 1980s as a child actress where she got her first acting role in the horror film Pumpkin-head. She followed it up with guest appearances on The Facts of Life and Beauty and The Beast.

She has starred in other movies such as; Beaches, Kalamazoo, The Chicago 8 and so on. She also boast of roles in Television such as; Empty Nest, MacGyver, Molloy, Murphy Brown, The Earth Day Special and many others.

The beautiful actress is also an author of many books which include; Mayim’s Vegan Table, Girling Up and Boying Up.

Personal Life

Mayim Bialik got married to Michael Stone in a Victorian-theme ceremony on August 31, 2003. They both have two sons together namely; Miles as born in 2005 and Frederick as born in 2008.

Bialik and Michael had divorced in November 2012.
