Mario Paz (born Mario Antonio Cimarro Paz on June 1, 1971) is a Cuban actor who came to prominence for his role in the television series, Pasion de Gavilanes. He is also known for other telenovelas like Esmeralda, Gata Salvaje and Vuelve temprano.

Mario Cimarro was born in Havana, Cuba on June 1, 1971 to parents; Antonio Luis Cimarro and Mario Caridad Paz.
He has two siblings; Julio Cimarro and Maria Antonia Cimarro Paz.
Career
Cimarro came through in 1995 with a debut role in Acapulco, cuerpo y alma.
He became the protagonist of the Colombian television series, Pasion de Gavilanes from 2003 to 2004 alongside the likes of Juan Alfonso Baptista, Danna Garcia and Natasha Klauss.
He was the protagonist of the television series El Cuerpo del Deseo from 2005 to 2006 alongside Lorena Rojas.
He also got a recurring role on the USA Network’s Necessary Roughness from 2011 to 2013 and Jesus Cristo de Nazaret in 2020.
He has appeared in numerous telenovelas such as Esmeralda, La casa en la playa, Gata Salvaje, Vuelve temprano and so on.
