Early Life
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was born on February 12, 2001, in Tbilisi, Georgia. Khvicha’s father is Badri Kvaratskhelia, a former footballer who played for Azerbaijan national football team. He was raised alongside his siblings, two brothers. His younger brother Tornike is also a footballer.
Career
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia began his football career at the youth level before joining Dinamo Tbikis at the senior level in 2017. He joined Rustavi a year later.
He joined the Russian Premier League club Lokomotiv Moscow on loan, on February 15, 2019, and made his debut for the club on March 10, in a match against Anzi Makhachkala. He came on as a substitute for Jefferson Farfan, at the 86th minute
Kvaratskhelia signed a five-year contract with Rubin Kazana on July 6, 2019, and made his debut in a 1-1 draw against his former club Lokomotiv Moscow. He came on as a substitute in the second half of the match and scored the equalizer. Hebwas named “Man of the match” by Rubin fans on the club’s official website.
He signed for Dinamo Batumi of Georgia in March 2022. He made his mark with eight goals and two assist in 11 league matches.
He joined the Seria A club Napoli, in July 2022, for a reported fee if €10-12 million. He played his first match for the club in a friendly game against Eccellenza club Anaune Val di Non, where he provided two assists and two goals. He made his professional debut for the club in a 5-2 win against Hellas Verona, where he also scored and provided asissts.
He has represented Georgia at the U17, U18, U19, and U21 levels. He was called up to the senior team on October 14, 2020. He made his first appearance in a match with North Macedonia, which ended in a 1-1 draw. He scored against Spain on Narch 28, 2021, and another goal against Greece, three days later.
