Khumbudzo Phophi Silence Ntshavheni ( born January 30,1977) simply known as Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, is a South African politician who became the Minister of Communication and Digital Technology. She is a member of the National Assembly of South African and a member of the African National Congress.

Early life
Khumbudzo Ntshavheni was born on January 30, 1977 in Sibasa, South Africa. Her father owned a general dealer’s store while her mother worked in a taxi industry.
She had her secondary school education in Mbilwi secondary school and obtained a MBA degree from Bradford University in the United Kingdom. She also has a BA degree in Development studies and Labour relations from Rand Afrikaans University.
Career
Khumbudzo has work experience in Strategic Management Information Technology, Change Management, Communication and Marketing. She is also the founding director of Nkho Trading.
Prior to fame, she served as the Tourism Manager at Trade and Investment Limpopo, Chief Information Officer for the Limpopo Provincial Department of Local Government and Housing, and Spokesperson for the Premier of Limpopo.
She also served as the Municipal Manager of the Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality in Limpopo.
She was also a lecturer at the University of South Africa and Chief Operating Officer at the State Information Technology Agency (SITA). She became a member of the African National Congress Youth League’s National Executive Committee (NEC). She was appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa to the post of Minister of Small Business Development after her election to the National Assembly in May 2019. She was also appointed as acting successor of Jackson Mthembu, Minister in the Presidency: Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, after his death in January 2021. President Ramaphosa announced that Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams and Khumbudzo would exchange ministerial positions, during a cabinet reshuffle on August 5, 2021.
