Early Life
Geyse Ferreira was born Geyse da Silva Ferreira on March 27, 1998, in Maragogi, Brazil. She was raised by a single mother, Maria Cristina Gomes da Silva alongside her 5 siblings; Aline, Geovanne, Gisele, Alisson, and Jose Williamyse. Her mother is a daycare worker and her father is a fisherman.
Career
Geyse Ferreira began her football career at the youth level with Uniao Desportiva. Prior to professional football, she played futsal in Pernambuco for two years. She moved to Centro Plimpico in 2016.
She joined Corinthians in 2017 and made her debut for the club in a 4-0 victory against São Francisco. She scored 9 goals in 27 appearances in a single season with the club.
She signed for the newly promoted Madrid CFF from Corinthians in 2017 and made just 11 appearances for the club which finished 10th place in the league.
She joined SL Benfica in 2018 and later re-signed for Madrid CFF in January 2020.
She moved to FC Barcelona Femeni in June 2022 with a contract until 2024. She was assigned the number 18 Jersey.
At the international level, Geyse represented Brazil at the under-20 level. She was part of the squad for the 2016 edition of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and the 2018 South American U-20 Women’s Championship.
