Arlo Parks was born on August 9, 2000 in Hammersmith, West London.
She is of mixed heritage; Nigerian, Chadian and French. Her mother was born in Paris.

She attended Latymer Upper School and also completed her A Levels at Ashbourne College.
Career
Parks started her music career in 2018 after she caught the attention of BBC Radio1 DJ Jess Iszatt. She came through with her debut single “Cola” which released in November 2018 through Beatnick Records.
She got signed to Transgressive records and released her EP, Super Sad Generation in April 2019.
She had released numerous singles which include “Eugene” and “Black Dog” before she finally dropped her debut album “Collapsed in Sunbeams” on January 29, 2021.
