Born Roony Bardghji on November 15, 2005 in Kuwait City, Kuwait to a Syrian family and moved to Sweden at a tender age.
Career
Roony Bardghji began his career at the youth level with Kallinge SK in 2012 before moving to Rodeby AIF in 2015. He alsonwent through the youth ranks of Maimo FF and Copenhagen.
He made his senior debut for Copenhagen in 2021 where he became the youngest player to feature for the club at the age if 16. He scored his first goal seven days later, in a 3-1 against AaB.
He made his UEFA Champions league debut in a 3-0 loss to Sevilla where he came on as a substitute at the 62nd minute on October 25, 2022. He signed a new contract with the club on January 7, 2023 and also extend his contract to December 2025. He scored his first champions league goal in a 4-3 win over Manchester United on November 8, 2023.
At the international scene, he represented Sweden at the under-17 and under-21 levels.
