Hanks Anuku was born on August 27, 1960, in Ibadan, Nigeria. He is originally from Delta State.
His early years were in Ibadan, where he had both his primary and secondary education. He went to Loyola College, Ibadan, for his secondary education and also obtained a higher national diploma (HND) in Mass Communication at Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State.
He was naturalized as a Ghanaian citizen in 2017, which saw him change his name to Nana Kwame Fifi Kakra Anuku. Anuku and his family also moved from Nigeria to Ghana.
Career
Hanks Anuku made his debut movie role in 1993 after joining the movie industry. He first featured in the movie Skeleton and was absolutely a talent to reckon with, having shown a good interpretation of his role.
He followed up with roles in other movies such as Akidi, Django, Dear Sister, and Wild Romance.
He became known in 1994 for his role in the movie The Senator. Ever since he rose to fame, he has featured in other movies such as Rambo, Bitter Honey, Desperate Ambition, Fools on the Run, The Captor, Men on Hard Way, and so on.
