Robyn Lawley was born on June 13, 1989, in Girraween, New South Wales, Australia, to parents Chris Lawley and Janne Lawley. She also has two sisters, namely Shona Lawley and Jennifer Lawley.

Career
Robyn Lawley came through professionally in modeling at the age of 18, when she was signed with Bella model management, a plus-size modeling agency in Australia.
She appeared in a plus-size clothing range for New Zealand brand Ezibuy at the beginning of her career. She modeled for the likes of Cosmopolitan, French Elle, and Marie Claire (France, Australia).
Lawley was featured on the cover of Vogue Italia alongside the plus-sized models’ Tara Lynn and Candice Huffine in June 2011.
She also became the first Australian plus-size model to appear on the cover of an Australian fashion magazine after featuring on the cover of Madison in March 2012 and also graced the editorial produced for Australian Vogue. She also appeared in editorials for Glamour, Marie Claire Hungary, and Dazed & Confused.
Lawley appeared in campaigns for Ralph Lauren and also for other plus-size brands like Lane Bryant, Marina Rinaldi, and Evans.
She appeared in campaigns for lingerie brand Chantelle, alongside Maryna Linchuk. She was also photographed for a fine art exhibition, Size Does Matter.
Lawley became a Sports Illustrated “Rookie” in early 2015, making her the first “plus-size” model to be featured in the magazine’s annual Swimsuit Issue.
