Shawn Adam Levy (born July 23, 1968) popularly known ad Shawn Levy, is a multi-talented Canadian actor, filmmaker and director who is notable for the movies; Real Steel, Big Fat Lie, and Free Guy. Levy has been an executive producer on the Netflix original series, Stranger Things.

Early Life
Shawn Levy was born on July 23, 1968 in Montreal, Quebec, into a Jewish family.
He attended St. George’s High School and Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center in New York.
He obtained a degree in Performing Arts at Yale University and received a MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
Career
Levy began acting in1986 with his first role as Jim Bratten in the horror film, Zombie Nightmare.
He appeared in the 1988 Liberace: Behind the Music and also credited for television acting which include; a recurring role on Beverly Hills, 90210 and a guest spot on 21 Jump Street.
Levy is known for producing the 2012 Ben Stiller, Vinve Vaughn and Jonah Hill comedy The Watch. His production company 21 Laps produces the Fox Comedy Series, Last Man Standing and the Netflix series, Stranger Things.
Netflix announced a 4 year contract with Levy in December 2017 and due to successful seasons of Stranger Things, he will create TV projects exclusively for the streaming entertainment company.

It was unveiled in March 2018 that Levy would produce the film adaptation of the slasher novel There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins under his 21 Laps Entertainment label, alongside James Wan’s Atomic Monster studio for Netflix.
Levy also produces the 2021 Netflix series, Shadow and Bone, alongside Eric Heisserer.
