Vanjess are not twins; they are two sisters, Ivana Nwokike born on December 20, 1991 and Jessica Nwokike born on April 23, 1993.
They are born in Lagos state, Nigeria and from the Igbo tribe. The duo are based in California.
They spent most of their childhood in Nigeria before moving to La Palma with their mother.
Both Ivana and Jessica went to a performing arts elementary school.
Career
Vanjess started their career uploading cover songs on YouTube.
They have been able to develop their passion with musical influences from the likes of TLC, Kaytranada, Janet Jackson, Xscape and so on.
They came through professionally in 2011 after recording in the studio for the first time.
